"Astor & Pollux", graphite on bristol vellum – Homage to Astor Piazzolla
Shawn Feeney
I don’t know about his Tango skills, but put a pencil in Shawn Feeney’s hand and he’ll lead it to create beautifully-bizarre works of art. When I first saw Astor & Pollux (above), my jaw dropped and my Paypal account was debited $10! Tim Burton meets M.C. Escher in this stylistic approach to anatomy.
Simply stunning!

Fred Conlon
Don’t ask me how I manage to find these artistic rarities, they just flock to me. Actually, only the first one did. The second (below) was created by Fred Conlon as a personal commission from yours truly. After meeting him at the Plaza Arts Festival in Kansas City this year, I challenged his handy work by requesting a “unique” Tango sculpture and this was his response:
"Untitled", scrap metal and custom welding – 9.5 x 16.5"
Nice metal ribbon and pink lipstick. What beautiful eye-bolts you have!
Beware of sharp edges as you look for more of Fred’s sweet metal work at Sugarpost.com.

Beautiful! I love when two art forms collide in an evermore creative way. And of course I am diggin’ the shout-out to Kansas City
Fun! I’d love to see more works of art inspired by tango!
Beautiful stuff!! I love tango inspired art!
What I like about this art is how fast my mind tells me I love it without worrying about how it’s created. When art speaks to you, no explanation is necessary! You like it because you do. Left-brain thinking not invited
The frogs are a lot of fun! They look like they’re going to devour each other. Yet, they are smiling!
